This week we completed the Maribyrnong City Council new chamber fitout. This building in West Footscray, Victoria had a heritage listing for the room and therefore we had to work around the constraints of the building for the installation to avoid putting anything on the ceiling, walls and the timber surround. The Redfish team rose to the challenge and came up with some innovative approaches to ensure that we could still install the new contemporary audiovisual system into this room. Providing our new chamber system control interface via Q-Sys, we have implemented a full wireless discussion system with electronic voting, live streaming with three PTZ cameras, an integrated video conferencing interface and a full visual display over IP system. The client is extremely happy with the results, with the system exceeded their expectations with its functional use, yet simple to use workflow. We look forward to further implementation of this successful demonstratable system in other Council Chambers across the country. This week, we successfully completed and handed over the City of Fremantle Council Chamber. Following comprehensive consultations with the City Governance teams, Redfish was commissioned to address the intricacies of this architectural space, specifically focusing on resolving issues related to the existing audiovisual systems and optimising the acoustics and visual outcomes within the council chambers. As always, we strive to achieve optimal results with the resources available before introducing new elements. This project was no exception. We successfully repurposed several high-value items that had been previously implemented incorrectly. We redesigned and reworked the system to reuse these items and integrated new systems to comply with the new WA local government reforms for a band 1 local government. Yesterday, the first meeting was held and the feedback from the city has been excellent. They are very happy with the overall system, clear speech intelligibility in the room, better visual outcomes with new screens, an easy-to-use live streaming system adjusted to their specific requirements per meeting, and a simple yet highly functional control system allowing one user to operate the room. The council chamber is now equipped with an advanced AV system, ensuring it is well-prepared for future needs. A great outcome by the Redfish team.
